Hi all,
I'm just wondering if there are any kind of information that Cable Modem can store about in which CMTS it's connected. For example, CMTS IP, CMTS MAC, CMTS Serial ore any other CMTS identifier.
I will appreciate any help.

I think that the modem have in the conf file just the IP address of your routes, dns's and the cable interface IP address only... NO MAC, NO Serial, NO IP or any identifiers!
I believe it only holds onto the last downstream frequency it used to register on.

The cable modem must also store the ID of the upstream channel it was last connected to.
After successful downstream ranging, that particular upstream channel must be tried first.

Yes it stores the upstream channel ID, I know, but if you have 20 cmts-es in one headend (like me), you don't know which CMTS the modem is connected to from know cable modem IP. Im looking for any SNMP that query cable modem for any identifier that is unique for each CMTS...!
try with downstream frequency! avery cmts have a uniqe downstream frequency!
