snmpwalk on emta/edva

Hello All,
Can anyone please confirm if it is possible to get a response for a snmpwalk command on emta/edva interface?

EMTA / EDVAs are interfaces

EMTA / EDVAs are interfaces on the Cable Modem, the e in emta stands for embedded.

As such you can read information about the emta/edva by snmpwalking the modem.

The EMTA will show up as an interface in the cable modem confirm by looking at the ifDescr in the ifTable (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2) you will note that one of the interfaces will be the emta or edva interface.

Normally, though the EMTA will have an IP SNMP will not be listening on that interfaces IP and will only be listening on the Cable interface's IP address, so you cannot snmpwalk the EMTA IP directly.

Thank you Kwesibrunee

I would like to validate the state (enabled or disabled) of the voice features activated on eMTA/eDVA by running snmpwalk command. I can check this using the decoded PC2.0 config file but want to check the features state directly on the emta.
Can I run PC2.0 SNMP OIDs on cable modem?

Well it is possible to enable

Well it is possible to enable SNMP on the MTA interface. As part of the MTA configuration have a look at the SNMP-COMMUNITY-MIB.
