I am experiencing a very curious issue. I can't seem to find the problem in the CMTS configuration. Let me explain: I have a specific model of HITRON cable modem that doesn't connect to MAC 3 but works fine with the other MACs. The modem fails to lock onto the downstream carriers and keeps rebooting. I am sharing the configuration of MAC 3 (which has issues with this modem) and another MAC where the modem works.

in your downstream Qam, the interleaver should to 32 or 8.
the downstream Qam secondary, instead of one here and another there... have a group of 4 in different sections.

Hi Carlos, regarding the interleave, I conducted some lab tests a while ago and improved latency with values like the one you recommended; however, knowing that lowering it would weaken robustness against errors, I didn't dare to implement it in production. Do you think I will have more positive than negative effects by making this change?
My HFC plant is node+0 or fiber deep, so I shouldn't have any issues. What do you think?
Hi, if your N+0, I would recommend interleave 8, have it running on multiple systems without issue.
I did have one system with Hitron 3.1 issues and that was resolved by adding diplex in the docsis-mac.

note, upstream reflects an 85Mhz return. after adding the diplexer is when the Hitron modems started to work. try that and let me know if it resolves the issue please.
The strange thing is that on the other MACs, the Hitrons connect normally, and all the MACs are configured the same way. Out of 17 MACs, only one doesn't connect. Strange!!
