To my knowledge motorola has not released SIP firmware for any of their modems, meaning that they can only use traditional packetcable.
Someone has managed to get motorola modems to work with Asterisk using NCS (packetcable) with a patch, but it is still pretty raw and I am not sure if it is ready for deployment in real world.
