I want to ask you how I can increase my upload bandwidth for my cable modem, currently it only allows me to upload 2 Mbps. I want to increase it even to 4 Mbps to 6 Mbps. I have two MC16C targettas on my ubr 7240Xvr. Could someone give me a hint of how upload it to more than 2Mbps I will attach a fragment of my cmts configuration.

I'm one of the last on this site for Cisco, but can add to some of the basics and what your trying to do.
1st, 16Qam @ 3.2Mhz wide is only around 7Mb shared bandwidth to start. if your snr is above 28, change it to 64Qam for about 14Mb of shared bandwidth. option two, change your channel width from 3.2 to 6.4Mhz wide to double what you currently have and final thought, double check your modem file for upstream max burst and concatenated burst values.
for 5Mb upload, concatenated burst should be 10,000 and max burst should be 20,000

At the moment I made the changes in my configuration. change the channel width to 3200000 which is the maximum allowed in my cisco ubr then change from 16qam to 64qam, but I get the same results. Could it be that I am doing something wrong in my configuration? or will some other idea be feasible, could a balancing of my ports be possible in my cmts ubr7240? I am not a great expert on docsis but if you have any other clues to follow. I will leave fragments of my configuration so that you can observe it.

Try this global command:
cable upstream rate-adapt
I was not able to push more than 2 Mbps upstream through any of my oldish DOCSIS 2.0 modems.
Adding this above mentioned command made my DOCSIS 2.0 modems push roughly 10 Mbps upstream.
Also you might want to update your firmware. BC2 seems very old.
Do you have any special site to do a search for a more current OS for my Cisco CMTS ubr7246 to be able to update it and make the changes that are being recommended to me.

These are A-TDMA features.
If all your modems are D2.0 or newer, you should change from this :
cable upstream X docsis-mode tdma
to this :
cable upstream X docsis-mode atdma
If you still have some D1.x modems, you can use "mixed mode" instead :
cable upstream X docsis-mode tdma-atdma
Once you have added the atdma functions, you get access to 6.4 channel widths, and 64QAM
Also you will need new modulation profiles. I suggest making a couple like
cable modulation-profile 222 mix-qam
cable modulation-profile 223 robust-mix-low
Then you can do this :
! 64QAM with auto fallback to 16QAM
cable upstream X modulation-profile 222 223
! 6.4 width with fallback to 3.2 width
cable upstream X channel-width 64 32
! 6.4 width defaults to 1 minislot, but performance is better with 2 minislot
cable upstream X mini-slot-size 2
If you change to 6.4 width, you will have to adjust these to ensure your channels are at least 6.4 apart:
cable upstream X frequency
