is the cmts configured with service classes, other than default best effort?
hello cmcaldas thanks for answering. Last night trying to limit my cable modem, I managed to limit the upload speed. But it doesn't limit the download speed yet and this is what worries me since I have a batch of 40% hitron cable modem that are having this problem. I will attach the configuration of my cmts. I currently use the vulture docsis file editor It is worth mentioning that I do the limitations in my config file

Even if you are rate limiting in your config files, you still need the cable downstream/upstream rate-limit lines in your CMTS config.
Can you guide me how would be the lines that I would have to add in my config.
Do you have an example of a config file? to compare with mine.
Just take the "no" out before each of your rate-limit lines.
Thank you very much I managed to solve my problem just by adding the wire speed limit I do not appreciate it now the download is limited.
