IPDR on ARRIS C4 CMTS / E6000 CER - Where to start?

I'm trying to implement IPDR on an ARRIS C4 CMTS (in near future an ARRIS E6000 CER). The CLI commands to "activiate" IPDR on C4 are in the manual, but what I'm trying to find is how (the hell) implement the collector software. I've been reading the following BLOG:

And I think that is an excellent start point, but I'm wondering if there is a more like "IPDR for dummies" documentation. Is the CPAN module the only Open Source (or at least free) option or there is any other one? In such case, how can I use that module with an ARRIS CMTS / CER (the documentation tells that the generic client is compatible with ARRIS but that only a few tests have been performed)?

And finally, how can I process the data in the collector to make, for example, a graphic with consumed bandwidth by one particullar user?
