We're currently not using IPv6 and was wondering how to let the CMTS know that. The reason I'm asking is because I keep seeing messages like these in my logs:
[00]-USDATA2.27 Get Primary IP6 Address failed: MAC Domain 0, Fn: usdataL3CreateDhcp6RelAgtInfOpt(), Ln: 19080 errStr S_accim_NO_PRIMARY_V6_ADDR
[04]-ND.64 Unsupported ICMPv6 packet of type Router-Adv in accUssNdProc
This is on a BSR64k running 6423
Thanks!
go into config mode, global. add no ipv6 unicast-routing
Worked like a charm! Thanks again!
Glad it worked out.
let me know when your ready to upgrade
I think I spoke too soon. While I'm not getting the one message any more I am still getting these:
BSR 64000(tm):[02/13-13:32:20.14- 00:EVT]-W-USDATA2.27 Get Primary IP6 Address failed: MAC Domain 0, Fn: usdataL3CreateDhcp6RelAgtInfOpt(), Ln: 19080 errStr S_accim_NO_PRIMARY_V6_ADDR
logging evt clear ltsc reg 108
logging evt clear ltsc USDATA2
logging evt clear ltsc USDATA
That was it. Thanks again!
