how dose arris cable modem and mta get different cfg file from CNR?

hi all:
now i am using CNR to provisioning a arris 1672 modem up.
1. my CNR is 7.2.
2. the discover from CM/MTA/GW use the same gateway, so when CNR received the discover, they have the same ip source like "10.x.x.254".
3. CM and MTA need get different cfg file. so they use different policy.
4. i tried to use client to set different ip per MAC, and as CNR's helper to configure restrict-to-reservations to enalbe in the scope. but CNR said :
Unable to respond to DHCP DISCOVER Request: R251 from Client: CID: ff:d6:df:c5:d2:00:03:00:01:00:1d:
d6:df:c5:d2 because no acceptable Scopes were found in Network: 10.90.12.0-255.255.255.0 via: Gateway 10.90.12.254. Found no Scopes with acceptable criteria.

what should i do? thanks!

What s the configuration of

What s the configuration of the ip bundle for the CMTS?

Usually you would want to have something like "cable dhcp-giaddr policy" so that CMs use the primary address, and CPE/MTAs use the first secondary as it's GIADDR.

Yep "cable dhcp-giaddr policy

Yep "cable dhcp-giaddr policy" makes it easy enough to break out the CM from CPE/MTA.

To split the CPE / MTA addressing, you could perhaps use static reservations for each MTA, or if you are happy with dynamic your DHCP server could use a rule to DHCP discover data to work out whether the device is an MTA or CPE

how dose arris cable modem and mta get different cfg file from C

You should be able to wireshark on the interface.
To follow up on this- Is the Modem or MTA sending a DHCP disover? Is the CNR DHCP server sending a DHCP offer back?
