Im trying to get working the C6U UpConverter with an UBR7223 CMTS. I dont know anything about this C6U UpConverter and I would like to know if there is someone here that explains me the basic configuration that I must use.
I need to setup the channel 50 in NTSC (DOCSIS) mode. I've been trying to setup this using the STD mode, but the LED screen shows the A NO RF message.
Can anyone provide some information?

Its been years since I've used the c6u's. I'll try to remember what I can.
They like between 20-30db on the input. Out of this area, you probably won't get any output, so pad your input from the linecard.
Make sure you are on the if-input. Set the output to digital (there is no docsis setting). Depending on the version you are using, make sure you press enter after you select an option, or it will reset to default after about 15 seconds. Remember that! I've missed that step more than once!
The max they will run out is +60db, but the sweet spot is between 55-59db if you can work with that. They deliver the best mer/ber at that output.
If the rf-output control is too low, there will be no output! You may have to turn the output up better than 3/4 of the way up before you get an output.
Oh yeah, I think there is an if level control, you can leave it on automatic for now till you get the hang of controlling it. Then you can make some minor tweaking of that as well as the rf-out level to peak our your ber.
The buttons control both sides of the converter, and its a bit tough to figure out at first, I THINK the light under the A or B side will blink depending on which side you want to control.
I remember them being a pain to figure out, and that was each time I had to set them up. I believe I had over 40 of them in place at one time.
I'm sure I forgot a few things, if you have any specifics, ask, and I'll try to remember.
