Hello friends I am a small ISP in Chile, I bought a ARRIS CMTS 1000 which I configured according to information on the Internet, the problem is that I can not no cable modem can sync with the CMTS, I measured the output values from the port downstream and test and are excellent, attached a video posted on youtube with the scheme.

Hello pipewill:
If I were you i will check with a field meter plugged on the DS connector if the carrier signal is trully there in 471 mhz. If it is there i would tune manually the modem to that frequency and see the log output. Hope it helps.

Hi,
did you use the right attenuator between splitter and the modem ?
DS power level receiving by CM should be close to 0 dBmV...
Did you measure the level and MER as well ?
Regards
Darek
please check the ds power TX & RX on cable modem... i think that you have a lot of signal on the modem.. try to change the ds power from 61 to 45 and then go 1 by 1 till 60. (every time reset the cable modem)..
regards
Thank you for your comments, try changing the output power but there's no point, I can not do that successfully connect any cable modem with the CMTS, as I can program a cable modem to work on a single frequency?
Deputy another video with the changes.

Make a Test with QAM64. I thing there is a Bug by Arris with QAM256, my old CMTS 1500 only runs with QAM64.
Hi,
I think that you are still out of range with the Downstream power level, try to reduce the DS power
incoming to the cable modem to 60 dBuV ( 0 dBmV )

even with an output of 50 Dbmv, connecting everything to an 8-way splitter isn't right. what's your email, thinking I can send a visio on how to wire it correctly
~Carl
Carl - Did you change your email address in the past year? Was cmcaldas@comcast.net ...?? What is it now?
Got Fios... had upgraded to docsis 3.0 when I got the 35Mbps package and after a week it would drop back down to 6Mbps like before. don't know if it's because of the load on the Cisco 10k or what... not like I was a heavy user with net Flicks and stuff. just email and a few uploads here and there. now it's a constant 50/25Mbps ;)
What's your rmail, please?
My email is felipeanunez@gmail.com, appreciate your help I have spent many days trying to operate the equipment.
Felipe -
You might try padding the power-input to your modem down -0-dbmv. Start by using 35db of padding, then see if modem locks on.
