Yes, ...both (C3 & 1500) upstreams are alike, with operator control.

C3 = RF Upstream:
Frequency Range (MHz) ..................................................5-42 (DOCSIS)
5-55; 5-65 (Euro-DOCSIS)
Modulation.........................................................QPSK, 8, 16, 32, 64 QAM
128 QAM with Trellis Code Modulation
Data Rate (Mbps) (max.)..................................................31 per upstream
RF Receive Level (dBmV)..........................................................-20 to +26

CMTS 1500 = RF Upstream
Channel Spacing Variable, 200 KHz-3.2 MHz
Frequency Range (MHz) 5-42 (band edges) (North American DOCSIS)
or 5-65 (band edges) (EuroDOCSIS)
Modulation QPSK or 16 QAM
Forward Error Correction Concatenation of Reed Solomon Block Code
and Trellis Code
Receive Input Level (dBmV) -4 to 26 (operator configurable)

I suppose it depends on what

I suppose it depends on what you mean. Are you moving from the 1500 to the C3 and worried if the modems will work, or are you wanting to colocate them on the same plant? The answer to both would be yes, with the stipulation on the colocation being you would need to use seperate downstream and upstream frequencies. Just remember a good rule of thumb, if you have the space, is keep your upstream center frequencies 7mhz apart (save space for wider 6.4mhz channels later)
