Hi,everybody.
What I want to ask , is several questions about C4.
1. Is it correct that C4 can`t work with VLANs at all.
So if I`m correctly understant, if I need connect C4 to 2 routers I have to use 2 ports, for example GigabitEthernet & FastEthernet. Both of them is Layer 3 interfaces.
2. The maximum bandwidth available for C4 from Ethernet side is gigabitEthernet (GNAM module) but we know that C4 can be loaded up to 26 downstream channels. So for Eurodocsis 26x50= 1300 mbit.
How to route the other 300 mbit? Is it possible to make Etherchannel or something like this?
You will never get 50 Mb/s

It`s one of my ARRIS C3 CMTS load.
Statistics are collected from aggeration switch where all CMTS are connected
Yes, C4 does not work with 802.1Q VLAN, but I succesfully used GE & FE ports for connecting to two diffrenet routers. OSPF helped me to set up correct routing :).
It`s very interesting about DOCSIS 3.0 software for C4, when it will be available.
Cisco has announced that DOCSIS 3.0 modules for their UBR10000 and UBR7246VXR be available at the second quarter of 2007 :)
WOW, ARRIS announced new software version (5.0) for C4 with Wideband technology implimentation.
so we can try to aggregate up to 4 downstream channels to each customer.
So I wonder, talking about docsis service flows, how they must be implemented in this new technology? For example if I set up DS bandwidth limitation up to 2 mbit/sec, this will be total DS bandwidth limitation, or it will be bandwidth limitation for each downstream channel in wideband CM ?
