Some suggestions for software to monitoring the cablemodems, view status, power levels, operating time and more. Seeking that can simultaneously monitor multiple cablemodems to save record (log) of the parameters of each cable modem, to diagnose system failures.
Currently I use Stormwatch II.

I currently am experimenting with Zenoss http://www.zenoss.com with good results, it has a great snmp poller and stores its data in RRD files the web interface is decent, may be able to do what you want.
I've written several for people. I can tie it into a billing system or even write a billing system. What type of CMTS do you have?

Drum, solarwinds, and Cisco all make software for Docsis reporting from the modem itself... We use several, DRUM being my favorite, the new Solarwinds is pretty shiny though...

You can use cacti with some templates fixed for you. Is easy to configure and it gives you by user and global the graphics.

Polling CMS via SNMP - easy.
Putting results in MySQL - easy.
Writing bit of php code that will display it - also easy.
I've wrtitten mine and it's working very well: creates per modem parameters, global parameters etc.
And the most important bit is - you can have whatever function you want, not features that sells the best!
