Hi
does anyone have some informations on how to interpret the data collected from modem when pre-eq is activated
for example
SNMPv2-SMI::transmission.127.1.2.2.1.17.2 = Hex-STRING: 08 01 18 00 00 26 FF 94 FF CC 00 B4 00 48 FF 2E
FF 89 01 85 00 A3 FD 59 FF 21 05 2D FE E1 EE CA
7D 58 00 00 01 C6 EE 77 FD 1E 01 76 02 48 FD 6F
00 6F 00 9C FF BF 00 34 FF FA 00 33 00 00 FF BF
00 1B 00 0D FF EF FF EC FF C8 00 78 FF D4 00 3C
FF DB 00 0B FF EF 01 37 00 13 FF FB FF ED 00 08
00 8D 00 58
this modem was helped by pre-eq so we know there is something to repair there.
it had packet loss before but not after so pre-eq is helping
I know there is a software here that can decode the data
http://www.msarmento.com.br/pre_eq.php
But I want to have a script loop throught the modems and point out the ones that need more attention
thanks
Check out CableLabs PNM Documents. There is nearly all what you need to understand the hexdump:
https://apps.cablelabs.com/specification/proactive-network-maintenance-u...
Get the latest version (I03) and take a look at chapter 6: METHODOLOGY FOR PNM USING UPSTREAM EQUALIZATION
Enjoy!
Best regards,
Thanks
I will look into that
