Hello boombastic,

i believe UPC Telecable in Viena, Austria is testing Channel-Bonding. I don't know which CMTS is using.

bigband

BigBandnet is about to launch a M-CMTS solution. This means that you will have to have a Cuda 12000 (or maybe 3000), with a doc 2.0 card + GigE card and an external module in addition. (M-CMTS = modular cmts)

The external module will then generate the QAM traffic, by taking the actual traffic and adding a docsis header that is generated by the doc 2.0 card in the Cuda 12000.

The Cuda can bond 4 DS, which then can transfere up to 160Mbps (DOCSIS) or 200Mbps (EuroDOCSIS). (approximately)

Cisco have another project which can bond 8 DS, but I don't know of any modems that support that... I barely know of a 4 DS modem :)
