Cisco docsis 3.0 questions ubr10K

Hi Folks,

We use casa C2200 CMTS for our d3.0 platform.
I have commisioned a uBR10k and the statistics puzzle me.
I have 2 bonded downstreams active QAM64 and 1 upstream. I am using cab 8/0/1

controller Integrated-Cable 8/0/1
rf-channel 0 cable downstream channel-id 173
rf-channel 0 frequency 285000000 annex B modulation 64qam interleave 32
rf-channel 0 rf-power 54.0
no rf-channel 0 rf-shutdown
rf-channel 1 cable downstream channel-id 174
rf-channel 1 frequency 291000000 annex B modulation 64qam interleave 32
rf-channel 1 rf-power 54.0
no rf-channel 1 rf-shutdown

interface Cable8/0/1
downstream Integrated-Cable 8/0/1 rf-channel 0-1 upstream 0-1
cable mtc-mode
no cable packet-cache
cable default-phy-burst 4096
cable bundle 2
cable upstream max-ports 4
cable upstream bonding-group 2
attributes 80000000
cable upstream ranging-poll interval 25000
cable upstream 0 connector 4
cable upstream 0 frequency 28300000

cable upstream 0 minislot-size 2
cable upstream 0 range-backoff 3 6
cable upstream 0 modulation-profile 21
cable upstream 0 equalization-coefficient
cable upstream 0 rate-adapt priority 6 rate 30000000

cable upstream 1 connector 5
cable upstream 1 frequency 37900000
cable upstream 1 channel-width 3200000 3200000
cable upstream 1 ingress-noise-cancellation 400

cable upstream 1 minislot-size 2
cable upstream 1 range-backoff 3 6
cable upstream 1 modulation-profile 21
cable upstream 1 equalization-coefficient
cable upstream 1 rate-adapt priority 6 rate 30000000
no cable upstream 1 shutdown

interface Integrated-Cable8/0/1:1
cable bundle 2
cable rf-bandwidth-percent 50

interface Wideband-Cable8/0/1:1
cable bundle 2
cable rf-channel 0 bandwidth-percent 50
cable rf-channel 1 bandwidth-percent 50

I am seeing the correct customer traffic levels on the switch so I'm puzzled:

Switch Stats:
Output rate : 34017080 bps (3261 pps)

CMTS Stats with questions:
Ubr10k#show interface Integrated-Cable8/0/1:0
Integrated-Cable8/0/1:0 is down, line protocol is down
Hardware is CMTS IC interface, address is 0022.90de.65b1 (bia 0022.90de.65b1)
MTU 1764 bytes, BW 26000 Kbit, DLY 1000 usec, >> Seems ok

Ubr10k#show interface Integrated-Cable8/0/1:1
Integrated-Cable8/0/1:1 is down, line protocol is down

0 packets output, 0 bytes, 0 discarded
0 output errors
483 total active devices, 213 active modems
Total downstream bandwidth: 30341 Kbps
Total downstream reserved/reservable bandwidth: 0/24273 Kbps
Estimated usable bandwidth: 26000 Kbps >> Same here?

Ubr10k#show interface Integrated-Cable8/0/1:1 downstream
In8/0/1:1: Downstream is up
Total Modems 120 (118 active), Total Flows 121
Total downstream bandwidth: 13000 Kbps >> Why is the bandwidth halved?
Total downstream reserved/reservable bandwidth: 0/10400 Kbps
Total downstream guaranteed/non-guaranteed bonus bandwidth: 0/0 Kbps
Ubr10k#

However traffic on the switch shows more.

We are still getting our heads around Ciscos methods for implemeting docsis 3.0 compared to Casa.

All help and tips appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris.

Try this

Hi,

26M seems to be OK for 64QAM;

Try this to check if it solves your problem (configure both for 8/0/1:0 and 8/0/1:1)

interface Integrated-Cable8/0/1:1
cable bundle 2
cable rf-bandwidth-percent 50 remaining ratio 100

regards,

Marcelo
