Just used Motorola SB5101 Diagnostic modem to troubleshot some network issues. One of Debug Flags command named "Canned Registration": "If 1, DHCP, TOD, TFTP will be bypassed and canned registration will be used". Can anybody explain what is "canned registration"?
Sounds like it's doing exactly as advertised..."canning" the registration - DHCP, TOD and TFTP are registration steps. I'm not sure if it defaults to something generic or what, but if you could tell us what it does with this option enabled, that might be helpful.
