Cornerstone CMTS 1000

I didn't see a thread anywhere pertaining to this. I am hoping that someone may be able to help me out. I have a Cornerstone CMTS 1000 that will not boot. The LED panel just displays the "flashing lines" like it is booting. I have tried the hardware reset by pressing the Up and Select buttons. I have tried holding the Down and Up buttons to try to get it to load the older firmware. I have tested the memory, all with no avail. Does anyone have any other thoughts? Maybe it is a brick at this point? Thanks in advance for any help/info.

Have U got any upstream card

Have U got any upstream card inside?

Yes we have 6 upstream cards

Yes we have 6 upstream cards total. The upstream lights actually come on when you turn it on, just doesn't seem to finish the boot sequence.

Album O/S Version

Would you have any idea what version O/S is installed? Also, did you/yours attempt to install any version/s of O/S in the unit?

I don't know for sure what

I don't know for sure what version is on it. If I had to take a guess, because it is what we run on our other ones, would be 3.6.2. I have not attempted to try to load a new firmware on it. I guess the only way I know how to do that is from the CLI and since it doesn't load, I can't do that. I'll have to see if there is another way of doing it.

No Boot, ... no way.

You're probably correct in assuming it's 3.6.2 version, if your other CMTS are. Otherwise, if it's not booting, you have no data out to advise.

How long have you had it in service? Is the upconverter up to par?

Fix

Just send it to TeamDocsis in TX, they'll refurb it. They do all ours and we've never had an issue afterward.

Sorry for the late response,

Sorry for the late response, and I would like to thank everyone for their input. Yes, the upconverter has been tested in another chasis and is good. It was in service for 5+ years, and we just put in an upgraded CMTS. When this one got back here, was just going to test all of the components and have it for a spare unit, but alas, doesn't boot. May just do as suggested and send it in to be refurbished. Thanks again for all of the help everyone.
