Has anyone had any success encrypting there MTA configs with arris modems? I'm having trouble finding any details on how this is done. I'm using SIP and GUPI currently.
- create mta confg file
- compile using docsis editor
- encrypt compiled file using mta cert and a perl script
Not sure where we got the perl script, maybe Arris gave it to us? It uses openssl to encrypt the files.
I tried googling for the filename etc, but couldnt find any reference to it on the internet. It has some mention of the author in the headers, I'll see if I can track him down and find out if its OK to share.

I tracked down the author, but he said not to distribute the script. He recommends anyone who needs help with encrypting MTA files to contact Arris.
Please Ellery I sent an email, please contact me. thanks
