Asterisk and PacketCable

Hello.
Does anyone integrated an asterisk server with PacketCable???
Right now, I am using Asterisk (SIP) with ATA equipment on my DOCSIS plant, not PacketCable, and the performance is very poor because without PacketCable, I dont have any QoS mechanism for guarantee the voice traffic. Applications like P2P make really bad the voice communication.
I like to know a way to jump to PacketCable using Asterisk, because my company does not have money to buy a CMS for an PacketCable implementation, but we have several eMTA ready for use.
I have two CMTS, a Cisco UBR7223 and a Motorola BSR1000.
Is this possible?

Regards.

Arris eMTA

It's easy enough to use Arris eMTA with Cisco CMTS and Asterisk.

The Arris eMTA allows you to use DQOS-Lite to auto setup/teardown the voice flows without the need for a PacketCable server. The lite style provisioning is also supported on other eMTA like Cisco and Motorola.

I've never tried to use the Moto BSR though, not sure if that supports the lite type qos.

Thank you mboew...

Thank you mboew...

I have a Cisco uBR7223 and one Motorola BSR1000 in my cable plant... The
question is: Will I need to do a special config to my CMTS for the SIP integration with the eMTA???
I am already running SIP with an Asterisk VoIP Server, using ATA connected to the Cable Modem. The problem is that the ATA's, some times, lose connection with the server and never goes up again, thats why I want to use eMTA and try.

What do you think?
