I am using Casa C3200 CMTS and when I enable tftp proxy on the interface docsis mac some cable modems don't get the firmware.
The logs on the modem are :
Error (4) SW Upgrade Failed Before Download - Server not Present
I don't know what happens?

What's the CMTS software version ?
Did you specified upgrade server ip address in your cm config file ?

The software running is "Image: SMM Rel 6.1, Ver 2,build47". No i dont have the server ip address in all cm config files.

If you use TFTP-PROXY, next-server field in DHCP-OFFER will be switched to CASA ip itself.
If you don't point SwUpgradeServer CM will try use CASA proxy which don't serve him improper DOCSIS config file.
