D2 and D3 modem divided by interface.

How can I manage to have D2 modems connect to certain cable interface for example 6/0/1 and D3 modems connect to 6/0/0 which is a wideband capable interface.

In brief, D2 modem only on non-capable wideband interface and D3 on wideband capable interface.

I'm looking for other solution than set the frequency on config file. All managed by the CMTS.

Kind regards, C.

Have a look at the modem

Have a look at the modem steering part:

Maybe you could realise it by loadbalancing and cable tags like these:

cable tag 2
name DOCSIS20_TAG
exclude docsis-version docsis30
!
cable tag 3
name DOCSIS30_TAG
docsis-version docsis30
