lost pings in cable modems

Hi

We have an issue where cable modems users loose connectivity to a gaming server or so for just a couple of seconds. The cable modem does not get offline but the user has to reconnect to the server. We already checked levels and are ok, Any one has had a similar problem?

would need some more information to work with. if it's just a gaming server and everything else works? example gaming server is 24.0.245.51 and the customer's gaming device is 231.117.12.117?
from a pc connected to the same cable modem, can they ping 8.8.8.8 when connection to the gaming server is lost?
what network are they on, how many hops away is the server, what is the utilization on downstream and upstream, if they run a constant ping to the gaming server and 8.8.8.8 at the same time, do they both drop at the same time, are they using a service class or just best effort?
there's allot that needs to be considered

We saw a strange glitch like

We saw a strange glitch like this once when there were problems with DHCP renewals for CPE devices.

When the lease expired, some CPE were completely restarting their IP stack resulting in temporary data throughput dropout.

We have a similar issue currently!

In our modems eRouter is enabled by default. Some customers have noticed that every 30 minutes they lose ip connection. 30 minutes happens to be half of eRouters dhcp default setting for lease time. For some, it helps when they raise the lease time via eRouters gui. For some it helps if they disable eRouter (and dhcp).

This sounds very similar to me.
