Unfortunately the modems have such an old firmware (D1.0) on it, that I have to upgrade them first to D1.1 with the latest "hex.bin" file. They do not work with the "p7" signed version:
DOCS-CABLE-DEVICE-MIB::docsDevEvText.103 = STRING: SW Download INIT - Via Config file cm-5100e.bin
DOCS-CABLE-DEVICE-MIB::docsDevEvText.104 = STRING: SW upgrade Failed after download - Incompatible SW file
We had the same issue with our SB4200E some years ago and the vendor suggested this:
"You will need to use SB4200E-1.4.9.6-SCM02-NOSH.hex.bin first to upgrade the modem from D1.0 to D1.1 and THEN use
SB4200E-1.4.9.11-SCM01-NOSH-NNEMN.p7 to get it to the last ever D1.1 release."
Has someone probably got a later unsigned plain "hex.bin" version of the firmware available that we can upgrade them to D1.1 first in order to upgrade them with a "p7" version later on?
