Hi everybody ... i want to use an old motorola bsr 1000 r to test cablemodem, amplifiers and so on before they are put into the network.
After configuring and trying snmp and so on i saw an error occured.
Task tExcTask (taskId 0x7dfd9f8) Partition 0x8ca780: Task tRDNc (taskId 2c23978) is dead and possibly leaked memory
did anybody know what this error means maybe reinstall the firmware or dead cmts ??

Believe upstream port issue, can you post the show ver to confirm bootrom and image? was it running bridge or router image?

configuration is like a router .. i only use first upstream channel .. modems ranging, connecting to upstream port .. but after this nothing .. status --> dhcp(d)

they look fine. the root issue you have is with the route from the dhcp server to the modem gateway.
it can ping the modem's 100 baseT port, but bet not the modem gateway. so let's say the dhcp server is 192.168.10.10 /24; cmts enet is 192.168.10.11 /24 , modem gateway is 10.10.10.1 /24
if running windows, from your dos prompt, type in route add 10.10.10.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.11

i use debian as dhcp server ... configuration of this is working i tried this with an old knovartis bridge cmts .. works fine ...
i´ve added the route like you wrote but there is nothing ... after i restart the cmts in log are snmp notifications and than the error occurs .. after this there are no more snmp notificiations and so on ...
Did you think this error is a cause of dhcp failure ??
This error comes nearly 1 min after booting regardless if there are modems or RF is terminated with 75Ohm.

on the cable interface, add ip dhcp relay info option
without that, it won't pass the dhcp requests. feel this will fix the modems not coming online issue. as for the error, I don't have the list or causes anymore, but don't think will cause problem for lab modem testing

i activated the dhcp option and modems get their ip adresses ... they won´t get tod and tftp (init(o)) but i will try to find the issue ... i thought the cmts is damaged because of this failure listed above now i´m happy to have a cmts for testing ...
