Job Title: DOCSIS/CMTS Engineer
Duration: Open ended Contracting assignment
Location: Locals in either Philadelphia, PA or Los Angeles, CA
The candidate should have a strong understanding of DOCSIS protocols, including experience with Industry Standard CLI (Command Line Interface) from various CMTS and router vendors. A strong understanding of routing protocols, IP network architecture, SNMP management tools and RF plant in the High Speed Data industry is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience with C3 and/or C4 CMTS, as well as prior experience with common MSO trouble ticketing software such as ClearQuest/Remedy as well as measurement tools such as Spectrum Analyzers.
DOCSIS Decongestion, upgrades and conversions.
Support all activities in the LMC.
The LMC Engineer will offer support to the other LMC Technicians who monitor client's network infrastructure by using various equipment, tools and reported information to identify and determine the impacts of an event. Correlates, Isolates and identifies network impairments using pre-defined criteria across geographical areas; provides technical operations support across all lines of business and escalates impairments in an effort to reduce downtime.
there will be night work on cutover nights
You will be driving site to site to various head ends. There will be reimbursed mileage
There will be a thorough drug and background check
