What is the difference between the power level and signal level? You read power level on modem and it is different than signal level on signal meter. I am looking for some classification. It can be confusing.

It shouldn't be different.

It shouldn't be different. But if your meter is having problems then it will show different. Your meter using to two different tuners. One for your signal levels and the other is built into the modem in your meter.

They're kind of interchangeable and refer to the same thing as often used by techs. A typical modem test page will list them under a power level column for the downstream and upstream.
